We were close friends. We used to hangout together. I knew everything about her, her parents. She was a single daughter for her parents. Her father and mother were business ppl(busy ppl). She once told me that she had a younger sister who died 2 years before we met. I had seen her sister's photo at her house. I met her parents, they knew me very well. I used to go to their house often. We were just close buddies.
After four years we both finished engineering. We hardly talked to each other in the last year of engineering, probably that kept us apart. We both joined different companies. I used to speak to her once in a while over the phone.One year went like a single day. We both finished one year in IT industry. I never met her in the last one year. That day was different, felt something different. I left office early that day. I was on the way home, then suddenly thought of her, turned my bike towards her home. I reached her house. I knocked the door, it was dark inside. I knocked again. The lights are on now. I was waiting for her to open the door, I was expecting her. The door opened. I saw someone else there. It was a cute girl. Some two year younger than me. She was pretty good looking. I looked at her and said wow. Kept open my mouth, staring at her.Her facial expressions asked me "whom do u want? ". I didnt tell anything. Finally she asked me, whom do u want? I looked around to confirm that its my friends house. I said I am here for Divya. She said she is not at home, she went to some relatives house and will be back in 2 hours. I asked about their parents. She said they went to some party. I wanted to talk to that girl, i was just turning around to return, she called me in and said u can wait.
I thought its good to kill some time with a pretty girl. I entered the house. I sat down. She bought me a glass of water. She started asking me a questions. Her voice was very sweet. I told her that i and divya were very close friend in college and all the stuff. She offered me a cup of coffee. The tv was on and we both kept watching. She was sitting opposite me. I looked at her again and again and again. She looked sooo beautiful, she was beautiful. I kept looking at her face(so beautiful!) and she kept watching tv. I broke the silence by asking her "I dont know u. Who are u?" She said "Well, I am divya's sister". Then i thought that she must be some cousin, suddenly i realised that divya had no cousins. I asked her again "Which cousin are u?" She smilled and said she is her own sister. Once i was shocked. Then i thought she must be kidding. I was still thinking about her, Then she stood up and walked into one room just beside me. I heard a her voice telling "BYE" while entering that room. Lights of that room were off. I realised and stood up to look at her and ask her why she said "BYE". There was no one. I entered that room switched on the lights. I saw divya's sister photo on the wall. Oh My GoD! It was the same girl whom i had talked to till now.
